All Sunday Classes meet from 10AM-10:50AM.
MURRAY/FULBRIGHT
SUNDAY CLASS
The Murray/Fulbright class is located beside the gym in room 118. This class is lecture-style and traditionally attended by those over 70. This is the only adult class that meets of the first floor.
PAIRS & SPARES
SUNDAY CLASS
The Pairs & Spares class meets in room 211 and is traditionally attended by those over 75. Teachers rotate in this class, and they typically follow the Methodist Church's seasonal Bible Study materials.
SEEKERS
SUNDAY CLASS
The Seekers class meets in room 214. This is a discussion-style class traditionally attended by 18-50 year olds. The SEEKERS typically follow a topical video study. This class is great if you are wanting to connect with young adults and families. This group is currently led by Family Life Pastor, Stephanie Smallwood.
LEWIS-ORR
SUNDAY CLASS
The Lewis-Orr class meets in room 207 and is traditionally attended by those between 50 and 70 years old. Their topic of study changes regularly and is chosen by the class members.
NEW BEGINNINGS
SUNDAY CLASS
The New Beginnings class meets in room 209 and the topics of study change regularly. All ages are welcome in this class and is a great starting place if you're looking to plug in.
CROSS
SUNDAY CLASS
The Cross class meets in room 206 and is traditionally attended by those over 60. The teachers rotate in this class, and they typically follow the Methodist Church's seasonal Bible Study materials.
GENESIS
SUNDAY CLASS
The Genesis class meets in room 208 and has been taught by Janet Overstreet for over 25 years. Adults of all ages attend this lecture-style class.
LADIES STRETCH & TONE
MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 AM, Stretch & Tone meets on the third floor of the Youth & Children's Building. Various ages attend this exercise class. No reservations required - simply show up!
MORNING GLORIES
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Morning Glories is a women's small group that meets in room 213 at 9 AM on Wednesdays. This group is led by Billie Cornett, and they often journey through a topical book of study.
SHOFAR SISTERS
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
The Shofar Sisters is a large women's study group that meets in room 206 at 10 AM on Wednesdays. This is group is led by Karen Davis and often blesses our community through gift baskets and other service projects.
PALS
(PEOPLE WITH ACTIVE LIFESTYLES)
PALS (people with active lifestyles) is an adult fellowship group that is open to all ages. This group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 AM in Pyeatt Chapel. They play BINGO, win prizes, and eat lunch together. Please bring $5 to cover your meal.
HOUSE OF PRAYER (HOP)
WEDNESDAYS AT NOON
House of Prayer (HOP) is a prayer group that meets at 12 PM each Wednesday to pray for specific requests of the church as well as for our community and world. The weekly tornado siren test is a great reminder to come pray.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
BIBLE STUDY
The Bible Study on Wednesday night meets at 6 PM in room 206 and is lead by our senior pastor, Bro. Jeff Jackson. The topic of study changes each semester and all adults are welcome.
COOKS FOR CHRIST
MINISTRY GROUP
The Cooks for Christ is a cooking ministry group that prepares and serves thousands of meals every year for our community. There are many ways to get invovled in this group, so call the church office if you would like more information or to volunteer.
NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS
COMMUNITY GROUP
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meets every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 6 PM in room 205.
THE METHODIST WOMEN
The Methodist Women in Faith is an international service organization, and you'll find a chapter at almost every Methodist Church. Our chapter meets at 10 AM on the second Tuesday of the month in room 126. Email the current chapter president, Jackie Bordelon, for more information.
THE GATHERING BAND
The Gathering Band leads worship in the contemporary service every Sunday morning. They rehearse on Thursdays at 5PM and Sundays at 8AM. They are always open to new members, so if you would like to serve the Lord with your musical talents, contact Worship Pastor, Erik Smallwood.
CHANCEL CHOIR
The Chancel Choir helps to lead worship each Sunday morning in our Traditional service. They also host speical concerts at various times throughout the year. The Chancel Choir meets for practice on Sundays at 5 PM. For more information, email our music director, Amy Tate.
HANDBELL RINGERS
The Van Patten Handbell Ringers are led by our music director, Amy Tate. They ring every 4-6 weeks in the Traditional service as well as play for special services and concerts, and frequently play within the community. They practice at 3 PM each Sunday afternoon.
